ROFD Now Participating in Medication Disposal Program

The River Oaks Fire Department has joined forces with the University of Houston in a new program they have developed to reduce the amount of medications being thrown in the trash or flushed down the toilet. The Single Use Disposal System or SUDS program works with fire departments across the state to provide postage paid shipping envelopes for sending unused or unwanted medications to a disposal facility. The program is a zero cost impact for citizens and the shipping envelopes are available in the Police/Fire 2lobby located at 4900 River Oaks Blvd.
